The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their first child next month. Preparations for the arrival of the next royal baby in April are in full swing. And the fans of the royal couple cannot wait for the baby.

The Duchess of Sussex is famous for breaking the royal tradition time and again and she has allegedly taken another step to add to that list.

Pregnant Meghan Markle is breaking the tradition this time by hiring a birthing partner or a doula.

A doula is a professional with a non- medical background who is there for emotional support during and after a woman’s pregnancy.

The birthing partner will be present in the room along with the midwife and Prince Harry while the Duchess of Sussex gives birth to her first child. She will be there to hold Meghan’s hand.

The 37-year-old, Meghan Markle, who is in her last trimester has requested the presence of a doula when she gives birth.

A royal insider told US weekly, “Meghan is focused on calm and positive energy around the birth – she’s a big believer in that.”

There are rumours that Lauren Mishcon is most probably the birthing partner.

Lauren, 40, mother of three, has already visited the pregnant Duchess a lot of times and she is also coaching Prince Harry on what to say to support Meghan as she gives birth to their first child.

Lauren is married to Oliver Mishcon. Oliver’s grandfather belonged to the legal firm Mishcon de Reya. This firm was hired during the separation of Princess Diana and Prince Charles in 1996.
